Fazoli’s restaurants had Italian fast food concept and new owners decided to evolve it by adding more Italian dishes, such as: baked pasta, pizza, Submarinos sandwiches, desserts, garlic bread sticks and entrée salads. Later on, in 2006 the brand was purchased by the Sun Capital Partners of Florida for $100 million and they replaced the company CEO with a former executive of McDonald’s Bob Weismueller. He was replaced in 2008 by Carl Howard.
In 2009 the company changed more than a half of its original menu and introduced 30 new items. These new items had higher quality ingredients and new profiles. Also, in 2009, the restaurant became 4 of 10 best family restaurants.
Fazoli’s Brand and Company History
Although the concept of the restaurant was officially created in 1988, the company was formed in 1990 and it was called Fazoli’s System, Inc. The chain already consisted of five locations in Kentucky at that time and these restaurants were owned by Jerrico Inc., which was also a parent company of the Long John Silver’s restaurant chain.
The company owner decided to concentrate on the Long John Silver’s development and Fazoli’s was put up for sale for this reason. Later on, Kuni Toyoda – vice-president of the Jerrico’s Asian franchise – joined forces with Duskin Co in Japan and purchased the whole chain.
At first, Fazoli’s was selling an equal selection of pasta and pizza when it was purchased. Since the restaurant had Italian concept it was decided that Fazoli’s will not be able to compete in the pizza industry (mostly because the restaurants had delivery service) and focus on the pasta selection by making it “al dente”.
The company releases their Fazoli’s coupons each month. By using a Fazoli’s coupon you’ll always save some cash and try out some special offers, such as spaghetti entrée for $1,99, $1.99 for a meal, free spaghetti marinara, 33% off everything, Fazoli’s gift card, free spaghetti (in some coupons with a drink).
Everyone can find these coupons codes in some magazines and on certain web-sites. For example, if you’d like to find them, just type "Fazoli’s coupons 2013” or “Fazoli’s coupon codes” in Google or any other search engine.
